Ok I was totally slacking on this diet. I basically have been eating whatever I wanted since the last time I blogged. I decided that as my fat jeans were getting tighter, that I needed to get myself into gear. So I decided to go back on the Atkins Diet. I had a lot of success with it last year and then the Holidays came and I fell off the Atkins diet. I am now ready to get serious. I started the Atkins Diet yesterday. The new book says you can lose up 15 pounds in the first 2 weeks. So far I have lost one pound yesterday. I just make sure I eat 20 carbs or less a day. I've cut out all breads, sugars and whatever else is not healthy for you. I bought lots of chicken, hamburger, turkey meat, cheese, and eggs. And of course I use my good ol' George Foreman to cook these meals. I'm happy to finally get serious about this!

Sorry everyone for not being up to to date. I've been kind of slacking these past couple of days. It also doesn't help that I came to visit my family this weekend. But I promise myself on Monday, that I am going full force on this diet!! Hope you all have a great weekend!!! Be safe out there in the rain!

LUNCH:
So starting on this diet, I felt like a salad for lunch. A few weeks ago I bought this salad mix from Costco that was called Chinese Chicken Salad. It came with 2 sets of salad mixes that can feed a few people each time it is made. All you have to do is add the lettuce.

This is what it looks like all mixed together. I love this salad!
To wash this salad down, I drank my favorite Arizona Diet Green tea. When I make it, I use 2 packets and mix it in my 32 oz cup of water.
And also before I started to eat this delicious salad, I made sure to take an Alli!
DINNER:
For dinner tonight, I wasn't really in the mood to make a whole meal and my son wanted pancakes, so I looked in on of the Taste of Home books and found recipe called Applesauce Oatmeal Pancakes. This was in the 2nd Taste of Home Comfort Food Diet cookbook.
These pancakes came out pretty good. I also used Light pancake syrup that contained no fat which was perfect to take with an Alli pill. Below is the recipe for them.
Applesauce Oatmeal Pancakes
1 Cup of Quick-cooking Oats
1/4 Cup of Wheat Flour
1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 TBS of Baking Powder
2 TBS of unsweetened Applasauce
4 Egg Whites
Mix all the dry ingredients together and in a separate bowl mix the wet ingredients. Then mix them all together.
I noticed that the mix was a little dense, so I added more applesauce and added some water. And I also added some cinnamon because they needed a little extra flavor. I didn't make it as runny as normal pancake mix usually is. They came out a little fluffy and thick, but they were pretty good. Try it out! Let me know if you like it!!
So along with my dieting and exercise, I will be doing Dance Central by XBOX Kinect to help get me moving and get me more motivated. So far I love this game! I'm glad I got it and look forward to perfecting the moves.
Well I was supposed to start my diet and exercise yesterday, but since it was Valentine's Day, I let myself have one more day of eating whatever I want.
When I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was weigh myself after going to the bathroom. I find it is best to weigh yourself first thing in the morning after going to the bathroom and being naked. I was a little nervous because I haven't weighed myself in over a month........ Ugh, and let me tell you that I hate weighing myself!
So my weight was 192.5! Wow, I hate seeing those numbers! My goal is to lose about 50 pounds. I know I can do it if I just set my mind to it. So let the weight loss begin. Below are pics I took after weighing myself this morning to show a BEFORE and when I get to where I want, a AFTER.
So here's to my journey!!!!
After weighing myself and taking pics, I figured I better eat some breakfast. So today I decided to have a English muffin with my usual coffee and creamer. I used I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light on my English muffin. I also took one Alli pill.

Ok, so I know many of you have heard about Alli. Most reviews I have read from people on the internet tell how they pooped their pants. When you take Alli, it says to watch your Fat Intake and only eat about 15 grams a meal otherwise you will pay for by going to the bathroom a lot! I've been taking Alli on and off for the past couple of weeks while cooking meals from the 2 cookbooks and I notice that if I do eat too much fat, then I have oily shit!(Sorry to gross you out) But I am being honest. I have not pooped my pants or had oily gas. It just makes me go to the bathroom more and makes me think twice about what I eat if I'm going to be out and about. I really do think Alli works and once I start exercising this week, it will help make Alli more effective. I will be sure to let all of you know how it goes.
